PROJECT: BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

WHERE: Buckinghamshire

ELEMENTS: New outdoor arena, groundworks for horse walker, turnout pens, refurbishment to existing indoor arena.

We were pleased to be asked to work with this client on a multi-element equestrian build, that including refurbishing existing facilities, repurposing older surfaces, and constructing new facilities. A challenging but rewarding project to be part of.

OUTDOOR ARENA: A key part of the project was to install a new 25m x 65m outdoor arena, giving the client space to erect a 20m x 60m dressage arena within, and have space to ride around the edge. The arena was finished with a waxed sand and fibre surface, and new fencing.

INDOOR ARENA: The existing indoor arena was in need or refurbishment. As part of this the surface was removed, for reuse in the turnout pens, and replaced with a new waxed sand and fibre surface. During this process we also re-fitted the framework and added new shaped boarding to the arena edge. The result was a highly aesthetic and functional 24m x 60m arena.

TURNOUT PENS: Making use of the old indoor arena surface, two 15m square turnout pens were created, giving our client year round turnout options.

HORSE WALKER: Groundwork for a 20m diameter Skywalker, with 16m internal lunge ring, was required. Working together with the walker manufacturer, we provided all of the groundwork and supported the installation process. An access track was created using specialist rubber paving.
